Welcome to my on-line tribute to the London based Chiswick label. Started in 1975 and, under various guises, still going strong to this day, Chiswick put out some of my favorite records ever. Here you'll find an ever growing collection of info, record sleeves, old advertisements and whatever comes to mind. So dig in and enjoy!

Vinyl Experience

The recent re-issue of the Cry Wilf! album by Howlin' Wilf & the Vee-Jays pulled the old Vinyl Experience shop on Buck Street out of my memory banks (The cover shot of the band was taken in front of the side-wall of the shop). Always a good stop for rare wax back in the day. The building had previously housed Sea Of Tunes owned by Rock On co-founder Barry Appleby, and the mural even got a mention in Hi-Fidelity. Round the back and down the stairs was the Psychotronic video shop ran by former Sting-Rays singer Bal Croce, where you could get (then) hard to find copies of Rat Fink A Boo Boo or The Incredible Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed Up Zombies . And yep, that's a younger me tryin' to look cool at the exact same spot in the shot below...
